2011 was a year of rebuilding. It was a year I feel like I finally found myself as an artist and photographer. It was a year of diversity as I shot so many different kind of weddings in so many different ways. I challenged myself this year. I pushed myself to create imagery that I was proud to call my own, even when put against my horrible back injury that plagued me until the end of the year. Many of my clients that booked me for their weddings in 2011, I am proud to be able to call friends now.
A whole bunch of Thank you’s need to be given out that helped make my 2011 amazing. Great Event Planners, Duncan Reyes, Bonnie and Darlene at Events by Wallace, Jessica Kelley, and the crew at Kate Miller Events. I was also able to collaborate and work with some amazing photographer friends this year. Thanks so much to Lia, Nima, Jesse, Jessica, and Nirav for rocking with me this year. And of course, thank you so much to my brother Matt for being my main second behind the camera all year. I love you big brother. 
Can’t wait to open up the wedding season in the East Coast this year. Bring on the 2012.
um wow. These are fantastic, you should be really excited to showcase these! I’m partial to the groom smoking shot, and the bride/groom on the tyre swing! but I honestly loved them all. Great post, hope your back is better and you will be on fire for 2012!

Sorry about your back. Looks like your year was incredible in spite of the difficulties. May this year be even better. The bridesmaids shot with selective focus through the middle of the shot… tilt/shift lens or PS?
Beautiful! You are really good at bringing out the connections between the couples. You also rock the guys. Sometimes it’s pretty easy to make a glowing woman in a wedding dress look good, but you really showcase the guys too–quite a talent!
You truly have had an amazing year! The way you see people, life and light is just beautiful.
